Germany has launched a new Opportunity Card that allows candidates from non-European countries to enter Germany and find a job without having to sign a permanent employment contract. The goal of the German Opportunity Card is to attract skilled workers by simplifying the process. To get an opportunity card, candidates must score at least 6 points in the numbers-based method. Opportunity cards simplify the process. You can enter the country legally, have the opportunity to earn a good income, and potentially become a permanent resident. This new Opportunity Card program simplifies the job search process in Germany.

How to Calculate Chance Card Score

To obtain an Opportunity Card in Germany, candidates need to score a total of 6 points in a points-based system. The relationship between language skills, professional experience, age and German is analyzed using points. Basic requirements include language skills and financial stability, which are provided through an employment contract for part-time work.

1. Partial recognition of foreign professional qualifications, as well as licenses to practice in regulated professions such as engineering and education, will be awarded 4 points.

2. Experts will receive 3 points if they have 5 years of experience in the last 7 years or have German language skills at B2 level.

3. Professionals with professional vocational training and two years of experience, or candidates under 35 years old, will receive 2 points for mastery of the German language B1 level.

4. Candidates and tourists under 40 years of age will receive 1 point for a previous stay in Germany other than a visit.

5. Additional points will be awarded if you have very good English skills (C1) and appropriate German skills (A2), or have obtained a lower-level professional qualification, or are applying jointly with a partner.

Advantages of the German Opportunity Card

After entering Germany, you may be able to earn up to €1,000 per month by obtaining a one-year residence permit. You are allowed to work 20 hours per week while you find suitable part-time or full-time employment.

Requirements for German Opportunity Card

1. Educational qualifications: Having a higher education qualification increases your chances.

2. Professional experience: If you have 5 years of professional experience, you will receive a higher evaluation.

3. Age: 2 points are given for those under 35 years old. Between the ages of 36 and 40, 1 point will be awarded.

4. Language skills: Additional points will be awarded for German A2 level or English C1 level, while German level B1 to C2 will be awarded 1 to 3 points.
